One of the smallest exhibits in the marquees, this neat pyramid of violas in black pots intrigued many visitors; the range of varieties squeezed into a small space was very impressive. I especially liked, at the peak of the centrepiece, 'Pat Kavanagh' in primrose edged with mauve, and at the front, 'Patricia', in lavender with a yellow lip.
