| A sea of tangled clematis stems at the front of this display banks up to the rear in a kaleidoscope of colour. There’s lots of history here, ‘George Jackson’ with mint-white blooms stands out and was bred in 1877, while more up to date is last year’s Clematis florida ‘Pistachio’. -- Martyn Cox
