This Anglo-French collaboration is lovely. A great bank of silver foliage against the side of the marquee is the background for a gently terraced display. Each terrace is edged in black stone and planted in a chessboard of decorative members of the cabbage family - kales, cabbages and purple sprouts. Contrasting foliage from grasses, silver-leaved achilleas and black ophiopogon creates delightful combinations. The whole garden is divided by water, the English Channel, but linked by a glass bridge between two glass kiosks.
