Professor David Stevens returns to the site of so many Gold Medal winning gardens for B&Q with a garden which combines modern design with traditional planting. At the top of the garden a loggia is rimmed in scarlet steel then shallow steps descend through creeping alpines to a lower terrace where his trademark stripes of blue pebbles intersect the stone. Blue gentians pick up the colour of the pebbles and the whole garden is surrounded by tough plants - birches, pines and a large, pink flowered rhododendron.
