"Evolution"
Bordered on two sides by a extraordinary tall rolling green box hedge, this strongly formal garden features a powerful structure and great planting. Slender borders designed by the great Dutch plantsman Piet Oudolf blend just four plants in a constant intermingling: purple cimicifuga, deep wine astrantia, deep pink centranthus and deep blue spikes of salvia. Surrounding the ripple pool at the front, airy grasses, purple thistles and orange euphorbia. This is an inspired combination of structure and planting.
