The trouble with staging a herb display is that everyone wants to rub and squeeze the foliage to sample the aromas. Present good quality plants in a great variety and raise them up on a small island site and they really are tempting. With silver thistles as a backdrop to both foliage and flowering varieties, shrubs and perennials, this exhibit proves what valuable ornamental, as well as culinary, plants herbs can be.
