From Spilsby, in an unlikely pocket of Lincolnshire, this splendid exhibit of cacti and succulents showed the structure and growth habit of this surprisingly diverse group well. The taller types, such as opuntias, were set against a pale backcloth while the backs of the pots of many smaller species were lifted up so the form of the plants could better be appreciated.
